Licenses

WONDER aggregates facts from open corpora. We believe in paying it forward: every fact carries a source link, and the underlying content is licensed under Creative Commons or dedicated to the public domain.

Wikipedia — Did You Know

A large share of WONDER's facts derive from Wikipedia's Did You Know section. Wikipedia content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).

  • • Attribution: shown on every fact as a source link
  • • ShareAlike: derivative collections are distributed under the same license
  • • No commercial restriction on CC BY-SA content itself

Science Facts Archive

Compiled science trivia, sourced to public references. Where a fact originates from a specific publication or article, the source link on the fact page points to it.

Curated Feeds

Facts hand-curated by the WONDER team from open sources. Original editorial content is © WONDER and distributed under CC BY-SA 4.0 as well.

How attribution works in the app

  • → Every fact card shows a "Source" link
  • → Tap it to open the original article or page
  • → Exported Anki decks include the source URL in the card's back field
  • → Bulk content reuse is allowed under CC BY-SA — just keep attribution
